Hussaina Shehu

Hussaina Shehu is a passionate advocate for quality education with over five years of professional experience in education, community development, and media. She currently works with Steer Initiative, where she manages the Teachers' Community and the Keep Girls in School Scholarship Programme. In this role, she supports students from diverse schools, grade levels, and states across Nigeria, ensuring they receive the care, guidance, and resources needed to thrive through the scholarship programme and their respective schools.

In addition to her work in the education sector, Hussaina serves as an On-Air Presenter at Ultimate FM, Minna, Niger State, where she uses radio broadcasting to advocate for quality education and raise awareness on issues affecting children and young people. Through her presentations, she reaches an audience of over 50,000 people across different communities.

Over the past four years, Hussaina has developed strong expertise in advocacy, policy influencing, lobbying, and campaign implementation within the development sector. Driven by her passion for girls' education and inclusion, she remains committed to advancing equitable access to education and empowering girls to achieve their full potential through advocacy, collaboration, and sustainable community engagement.
