Who we are
Salma Attah Foundation for Women and Girls Support (SAFWGS) is a nonprofit working with women and girls in Niger State through education, civic participation, and advocacy.
Our mission
Equipping women and girls with the chance to take part
We exist to equip women and girls with skills, knowledge, and opportunities to participate in societal development. Founded on 8 March 2021, SAFWGS grew from grassroots work in Niger State.
Gender equality requires more than a single programme. Our work addresses education, health, civic participation, and advocacy together — so skills, leadership, and policy reinforce one another.

SAFWGS founded
The foundation is established to promote gender equality and support women and girls in Niger State.
22 March 2022
Girl Code launches
The first Girl Code Bootcamp trains young women in coding and digital skills.
20 July 2024
Kallabi Fellowship
A new generation of young women leaders and civic actors begins training.
7 April 2025
Girl Code Season 4
Season 4 is completed, growing the community of girls in tech.
